A 1 Day Workshop for Parents

Picture

Is the following you?

......You are a committed mom or dad. You take parenting very seriously. In fact its your most important role in life right now and probably always will be.

.....You spend virtually every waking hour somehow thinking about your kids.

......You see education as your child’s most important aspect right after their health.

......You send your child to the best school you can, plan tuition and provide extra curricular activities.

.......Your getting stressed just reading this knowing that it describes you!

Well relax….it describes most parents these days.

Every parent thinks their child is special. And they are all correct. They want their kids to do their very best at school and get the best start in life….It really is education, education, education these days!

Most parents spend all day planning for, thinking about and sacrificing for their children. This is admirable. But with all the busyness of family life and raising children, most parents completely overlook the one person that has the biggest influence on your child’s education…….

…….. YOU!

Too often parents give over full responsibility to the kindergarten, school or tutor from an early age and they overlook their own influence.

What if….

1. You knew the key educational skills required for your child at school
2. You realized the influence you have over your child’s education
3. You then translated this into how you talk, deal and raise your child.
4. Better still they wouldn’t even realise you were doing it!

What you see above is the overview of the key skills your child needs to master by the time they are 16 years to succeed in school and in many of their exams. But they take many years to develop. They are also life skills for the the workplace in the years to come. As a mature adult you do them all the time informally probably without realising it as you make day to day decisions and form opinions.

The key here is your being much more aware of the skills and being mindful of how you talk and deal with your child to nurture these skills.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is How To Talk To Your Kids So They Succeed At School ?

It is a 1 Day workshop that will teach parents the skills required for children to succeed when they are formally examined later in life. These skills take years for a child to develop eg thinking skills, asking good questions and creativity to name a few.

2. Where Do I Fit In As A Parent?

Firstly understanding such skills will give you a heads up in the education of your child in the years to come. We will then teach you what to look out for as your child develops these skills, how to encourage them and the words you use to enable them to flourish. Remember that young children spend a lot of time with at least one of the parents. Enabling the parent(s) is key to driving the development of the child. Too often this opportunity is wasted.

3. What Should I Expect If I Attend?

We will show and equip you the skills required and how your child grows using fun activities and discussion. Don’t worry it won’t be like school. You will also meet other parents in the same boat as you.

4. I See You Normally Offer Painting Workshop. Is this similar?
No. This is not a painting workshop at all . It is a parenting and education workshop run by professionals.
